Mount Vernon TNR Team

Mount Vernon Community Friends of Ferals has teamed up with Stray Animals Matter to form a team of 4 in Mount Vernon, MO.

BACKGROUND

Mount Vernon Community Friends of Ferals was formed by Cheryl Wilson when she saw a need in the community to manage the huge number of feral and stray cats. She always loved cats, and took it upon herself to start fixing, feeding, and sheltering as many as possible. In the summer of 2018, she started at city council meetings to get their and the public's support. Soon after, other members of the community got involved, and, through networking, additional people came forward to help with resources and information. A lot of headway has been made since Cheryl started her work, but a lot more needs to be done.

For more information, visit Friends of Feral's Facebook page.
